# Nylon Pay

> Payments API and open-source SDKs for developers, startups and engineering teams across Africa. One integration collects and pays out with mobile money, cards and bank transfers. Built to be used by AI coding agents and vibe-coding tools: load the integration skill, paste a prompt, and test the whole flow in sandbox.

Nylon Pay is a payment router. Your server calls the SDK; Nylon Pay routes each payment to a licensed payment provider, and the provider carries it over the rail the customer uses (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, M-Pesa, cards, banks).

## Rules an agent should follow

- Server-side only. Read the API key and secret from environment variables; never put the secret in browser code.
- Amounts are whole numbers in the smallest unit of the currency (UGX has no decimals).
- Check a result for success before reading its value.
- Verify webhook signatures against the raw request body, never re-encoded JSON.
- Test in sandbox first. `testOutcome: "success"` or `"fail"` fixes the result.
